Had a very good english speaking guide, a very interesting tour, not to be missed and a nice lunch. well worth the money.

The city wall was amazing. It is well worth the 40 RMB (~6.50 USD) entrance fee. Also, once you get on the wall it is another 40 RMB to rent a bike. I recommend biking around the whole wall, which is around 13.5 km (8.5 miles) -- should take around 90 minutes, give or take depending on how fast you bike.

We had Wendy as a guide from http://www.EmmasTours.com -- I recommend booking your guide before you travel with a reputable company (Emma's Tours is good, but there are other good ones too. You can check out some of the other highly recommended ones on TripAdvisor). We have kids who are in a Mandarin immersion school, so Wendy was wonderful with the kids and interacted in both Chinese and English.

Good guide with great knowledge........factory visit included a heavy sales pitch

Doing what: Terracotta Warriors Essential Full Day Tour from Xi'an

The day trip was excellently organised. The Travel Guide arrived on time, albeit we were only a small party.
We went to the Banpo site first which was interesting although something that I couuld have easily left out of the tour. The Terracotta Warriors were brilliant although we went during the National China Holiday week so all the locals were on holiday so the queues were incredibly long and the crowds overwhelming. Due to the high volume of people it was difficult to see everything at a leisurely pace. We went into the Gift/Souvenir shop afterwards to purchase a book, which was signed by the Farmer who had discovered the treasures!
Overall, well worth a visit.

Doing what: Xi'an Small-Group Walking and Cycling Tour

This tour was fun. We had a ball and were keeping fit at the same time. You can hire bikes and cycle around yourself but it was great having a guide to answer questions and give information. A highlight to our trip.

This tour was fantastic. What an amazingly interesting site. The lunch buffet at the restaurant was great. Our tour guide Laura was also great.

Very efficient pre trip management keeping us fully informed. Guide was half an hour late getting to the hotel due to two other people in the group who had no concept of timekeeping. The tour itself was good but no mention was made of the trip to the factory shop

Lunch was distinctly average but it did give us the opportunity to chat with the rest of the group. Guide again average On the whole worth the money paid.

The best way to see Xi'an! We really had so much fun on this tour, from start to finish! Our primary objective was to see and learn about the Terracotta Warriors and we were so happy we did this in a small group. Our guide was amazing and explained to us about the significance the warriors had to Emperor Qin. The bike tour around the Xi'an city wall was great as well - such a cool way to sight see!

Fantastic day out! Highly recommend taking the small-group option!

Very good however the intrusive visits to some
point of sales outlets were annoying. We went
on the trip to enjoy the amazing sights not to be sold totally unrelated goods!!

I was picked up on time and was called the night before to get the time. I was with a couple so only 3 on tour. This included a trip to Banpo village; a 6000 year old village that was found and excavated. This was really cool to see. The Terracotta Warriors far exceeded my expectations and was just awe inspiring. I even bought a book and had it signed by the farmer that discovered them. Definitely a trip well worth the time and price.

VERY VERY INTRESTING WELL WORTH THE TRIP,VERY PLEASED.

Doing what: Terracotta Warriors Essential Full Day Tour from Xi'an

That was OK. Don't understand why tour starts at 8 and gets to Terracota warriors only by 2 p.m. Too much wasting time before the main attraction

Doing what: Terracotta Warriors Essential Full Day Tour from Xi'an

Excellent tour. With foreign tourists down over 80% since 2008, this tour through Viator turned out to be a private tour for my wife and I! Small but nice air conditioned van for the two of us + driver + English speaking guide. Guide was very informative and knowledgeable. With just 2 of us in the tour, we could ask a lot of questions to learn more of the city and culture. Lunch was very good with lots to eat.
