Doing what: The Great Tour of Zurich

Excellent tour guide and it was a fun day. i upgraded my tour to include Heidi land and L/stein. Climbing was tough on weak kness but I enjoyed it. Good cheesecake in Rapperwill. our group was made up of people from all parts of the world. Great!

Good one but too short

Doing what: The Zurich Trolley Experience

Good for a quick overview of the city and plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. The second half of the tour was a bit dry though after seeing most of the sights earlier.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Boris R, February 2013
Doing what: The Great Tour of Zurich

guide was knowledgeable but tour left us wanting. Most of the tour was diving thru Zurich w only one stop, at a church, before we took bus to Rapperswil. Better value would be in the CHF 30 vs CHF 50+ we paid, esp w lack of boat tour in the winter making it 1.5 vs 3+ hr tour

if u are short of time and u want to cover half the city in a day, this will be the best way.

An interesting morning tour of Zurich and surrounds in the softly falling snow.

Doing what: The Great Tour of Zurich

What made this tour was the scenery! Zurich is sooooo beautiful! Be mindful of the boat trip back across the lake though. 2 hours is quite a long time.

Doing what: The Zurich Trolley Experience

Good for an overview of Zurich and its history.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this Review by JAMES R W, November 2012
Doing what: The Great Tour of Zurich

This tour was not very good and definitely not worth the money. The tour guide spoke very poor English. We were on the first part of a longer tour. The included boat ride was available only if we wanted to wait 3 hours. We took the train on our own instead of waiting in the rain for the boat.

Doing what: The Zurich Trolley Experience

A different way to see the city.

3 star rating: Worth doing Review by SANDEEP KUMAR C, September 2012
Doing what: The Zurich Trolley Experience

The trip was by and large enjoyable. However, it would have been nicer had the trolley stopped at a location giving a better view of the Zurich lake. We took the morning trip due to our flight schedule, but would recommend to take the afternoon trip.

Doing what: The Zurich Trolley Experience

Fairl basic tour of the town, we only had a few hours to spare so it filled the gap.
Languages were multi lingual via headsets which is better than one guide going over the same thing in 5 languages

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Estelle C, September 2012
Doing what: The Zurich Trolley Experience

Not great. Seating is uncomfortable and designed more for children than adults. A booster step is very much needed for those who are shorter or senior citizens order to navigate the trolley steps. The narrative was fine although it was intermittent or non-existant during some parts of the tour. The tour guide/driver left a lot to be desired as he could have been more helpful. I have been on other tours in other parts of the world (I work for a global airline) wherein the guide was friendlier and more informative. Thankfully Zurich is beautiful regardless. I would not recommend this tour...unfortunately. A more personalized approach combined with less of a desire to cram us into the trolley as if in a sardine can would lend itself to a more favorable experience.
