We took 4 differnet mountain tours,all of them were different,unfortunatly Mt Pilatus was covered in clouds.Still enjoyed the ride uo to it.
Disappointed that there were clouds at top of Mt. Pilatus. Great view on ride to top. Since we couldn't do cog wheel and boat ride on way down, there should have been a better alternative plan. Felt like it was wasted time.
This had the potential to be a great tour. We met at the train station where there was also a tour leaving for Mt. Titlis. We were instructed to get on one bus, but after boarding, were informed that we'd have to switch busses as only half of us were going to Mt. Pilatus. Yet, when we stopped, the tour guide changed her mind and told us to stay on the bus at which point ANOTHER tour guide got on the bus and resumed the tour. Apparently there was some confusion. The guide's English was acceptable, but she was telling legends of Mt. Pilatus that were only partially understandable, and not revealed to be legends until we were all laughing at the absurdity of the stories. It was entertaining though. The cable car up was pleasant, though it was raining the day we went so the views at the top were non-existent. We were told to meet our guide at the top of the mountain by the and quot;large digital clock and quot; at 15:30, however there was no clock to be found, so many tourists were very confused. The cog railway was great- fun and steep. At the bottom, some of us needed a bathroom break, but the tour guide did not wait and we were left to find the boat on our own. We feared it might leave without us, though it was waiting when we found it. The boat ride was gorgeous even in the rain. Our tour guide informed us on the boat that she would have to run with the tourists who were to go back to Zurich, but thanked us for coming. A decent tour, but could use more organized guides.
Excellent value for money. Fantastic. I would advise that you confirm100% with guide for pick-up the next day. We spend money on going into Lucerne, but the bus went back to Pilatus. Little bit confusing.
This trip was well worth the money. The guide was extremely professional. They stopped for picture opportunities and gave us a great historical account of the country as we traveled to and from Lucerne. I highly recommend this -- I've never seen such a beautiful panoramic view. Traveling by aerial cable, cogwheel and boat was a real treat!
If you have only one day to spare it is worth taking this trip..especially to Mount Pilatus. The visit to Lucern was a bit rushed but otherwise an exceptioanal tour. We could have stayed a little less time up on top fo the mountain as there is not much to do except eat and the food is quite pricey. I would have enjoyed a longer stay in Lucern. The guides were very friendly and professional. Beware of the hotel pick up policy. The pick up only applies if you are staying at that hotel stated. We stayed next door but were refused hotel pick up.
This was a fantastic trip. Good ride with guides and nice scenery from the peaks of Mount Pilatusand from the road. An exciting experince of riding the cable cars and the cogwheel train. The boat ride back to Zurich was also nice. Overall this was a best trip I ever had. The guides were very nice and experinced person. I will visit switzerland if get a chance to have another trip to Europe.
lovely mountain views however i like mount titlis a little bit more
This full day tour exceeded my expectations and it incorporates amazing cable car rides to the top of Mount Pilatus but also features the cog rail trip back down. The bus trip gives great views of Swiss scenery and there is a boat cruise and stop to visit Lausanne. Good bang for your buck!
This was a perfect day trip combined with bus, gondola, cogwheel train, and a ferry ride. Definitely worth your time and money. Spectacular views from Mount Pilatus and on the way up to it. Lucerne is gorgeous, but the ferry ride makes it even better! Would highly recommend this trip to everyone!!!

Excellent day trip. Lucerne is a charming little city and you get just a little taste of what it can potentially offer. The trip up the mountain is lovely, the view from the top is spectacular and the trip back down is fun and the boat ride back to Lucerne is relaxing especially with a glass of wine from the bar. What can I say more, it was worth it especially if you only have one day to visit and you have already seen Zurich and you want to do something a little different...this is an ideal tour.
This was a great tour and the tour guide was very nice and full of information.
