A wonderful trip! The view from the first stop going up the mountain was spectacular, but as we ascended to the top it was quite cloudy and at some point couldn't see much below. Nevertheless the ride up and down was great. The boat ride on Lake Lucerne was also very enjoyable. The tour guide, however, could have been a little informative.

My wife and i enjoyed this trip although the fog was so heavy that we couldn't actually see much at all at the summit. The cog train descent was very good as the fog cleared to reveal beautiful scenery, and the boat trip back to Lucern was also a highlight.

A wonderful, wondeful full day. Tour was a bit rushed in Lucerne due to roadworks on the way which was a bit of a shame. However, Mt Pilatus was stunning and awesome. Heard the cows and bells and were lucky enough to see and hear a Swiss hornblower. The cablecars, railway and ferry trips added extra experiences to the day. You really must do this trip!!! A special highlight of our visit to Switzerland.

This was a great tour. Amazing ride up the mountain in a cable car.!!! The views on the top were awesome, and the ride on the cog railway down the mountain was beautiful. We concluded with a relaxing and scenic boat ride on Lake Lucerne. It was well worth the money.

We highly recommend this tour. The scenery was spectacular. The guide was terrific and very knowlegable. It was very well organized and the cable car and cogwheel were out of this world. Lake Lucerne was so beautiful.

this excursion was the highlilte of our trip.it was excellent, except at the end we were let of the bus at thseir terminal and had no idea how to get back to our hotel, thanks to thse bus driver everything worked out,

It was a rainy day and I had to exchange our voucher at their booth at the bus station. Pick-up at the hotel was also late. Other than that, we liked the tour. We had some free time in Lucerne and Pilatus. We rode different kinds of transportation (gondola, cable car, cogwheel train, boat and bus).

The scenery was beautiful and definitely worth a visit, but I'm not sure how worthwhile the tour is. The guide hardly gave commentary on the information or legends surrounding Mt Pilatus; she only spoke about it briefly on the bus ride to the base of the mountain. This was followed by 2 cable car rides, 1.5 hours free time at the peak (which was nice), cogwheel train down and boat ride back to Lucerne. Not sure there was much point in taking a tour other than the initial bus ride there (and I'd imagine public transport will serve the area as well). The cable car rides and time at the peak were great. The cogwheel train was just a novelty pretty much, and the boat ride was similar to the sightseeing cruises you can hop on at Lucerne, so nothing really special. We were up on a foggy day and were surrounded by clouds, so we couldn't see much, but we still enjoyed it and it gave us a sense of being really high up. On clear days the view is amazing and you can see the surrounding Alps. Overall, I would recommend visiting Mt Pilatus - on your own.
