Viator Founder Rod Cuthbert Resigns Chairman Position, Becomes Chairman Emeritus and Advisor
September 27, 2010
Cuthbert founded the company in 1995, opened its U.S. offices in 1999, and served as its CEO until 2008, when Ms. Barrie Seidenberg assumed the CEO role.
"The skills of a founder are often very different to those required by a mature business and I find myself consistently torn between by responsibilities in the U.S. and family in other parts of the world," said Cuthbert. "Based on Viator's consistent growth over the past few years, I think it's an ideal time to step aside and leave the day-to-day to the fantastic team we have in place as I applaud their successes from the sidelines."
"Rod's vision and commitment have helped Viator grow into a world-class travel property and we wish him continued success," said Barrie Seidenberg, president and CEO of Viator, Inc.
