Dynamic Packaging systems are being enhanced to offer sightseeing, attractions and a wide range of "the things you do when you get there?"
San Francisco, March 23, 2004: Viator, the leading aggregator of bookable destination products, has announced that three major travel sites recently began offering its product range within their dynamic packaging systems. The sites are Orbitz, Hotwire and Lastminute.com, the leading UK on-line travel company.
Viator CEO Rod Cuthbert said that each of its new partners had done an outstanding job of integrating the company's range of sightseeing, tours, attractions and transfers into their main booking path. "The recent focus on dynamic packaging has spurred the development of feature rich, easy to use booking systems that offer consumers a wide range of product choice. Online travel sellers now consider bookable destination products a necessary offering, alongside flights, hotels and cars; that's good news for us and our suppliers."
Typical products in Viator's range are Universal Studios theme parks in Hollywood and Orlando, Supershuttle airport / hotel transfers across the United States, guided tours of Paris on Segway personal transportation devices, and a jet-boat thrill ride on Sydney harbor. In total, Viator's Dynamic Packaging range includes some 1,400 products from 300 suppliers in North America and 44 countries worldwide. Products are provided at net rates, allowing partners to treat destination products in the same manner as a merchant-model hotel program. All bookings are confirmed instantly.
