Corinth Canal - Connects the Gulf of Corinth with the saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. Cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnesian penninsula from the Greek mainland. Built between 1881 and 1893, it is 3.9 miles in length and was dug at sea level, with no locks employed.
