Swamp and Bayou Sightseeing Tour

My Review: Fun time! Even with tropical storm Lee sitting over us, this was a great tour. The pick up from the French Quarter was easy, and our driver kept us entertained with stories about the area, food recommendations and other local hints. We arrived at the swamp, and the boat was ready for us. We saw alligators from the moment we stepped on the boat. Then the guide gave us lots of background on bayous and swamps as we made our way through the area. The alligators were out in force, and we were able to get some great video and photos. Nice job!

My Review: You don't need to spend a lot of time here, but the Pantheon is definitely a must-see while in Rome. It was originally built by ancient Romans as a temple to all the gods, which of course, is no longer the case. The interior dome is pretty amazing and inspirational for all sorts of domes that followed. Check it out!

My Review: If your curious about how New Orleans became the home of such unique dishes, you'll want to check out this class. Anne was our teacher, and using a little history lesson, taught us all how these delicious dishes came to be, from ingredients to washing day, all the nuances of New Orleans geography impacted the evolution of their food. An educational and entertaining lesson. Then came the good stuff! We learned to cook Crawfish Etouffee, Bread Pudding, and Pralines! Homemade, tasty, and served with a local beer. Highly recommended way to spend a morning in New Orleans.
