Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
All of the trips we booked with Viator were definitely worth it! We learned so much from our guides and saw so much that we would have missed without them. This "Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour" was great but definitely a work-out. There was a lot of walking and a lot of stairs. There was so much to see in 3 hours that we barely stopped to rest. The "Skip the Line" was definitely faster than waiting in the regular lines but basically you still have to wait in the group line (which does move quickly). The price was a little more than I would have liked to pay but still worth it. The one downfall really was that our group was a little larger than I would have liked. We lost some people who kept wandering and not paying attention, so we had to waste our time trying to find them.

All of the trips we booked with Viator were definitely worth it! We learned so much from our guides and saw so much that we would have missed without them. This "Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's" was our favorite tour. Unlike many other tour groups we saw rushing their groups through the Vatican, our tour guide stopped along the way and we took our time and she was very very informative. The Sistine Chapel was breath-taking and just the size of St. Peter's church is magnificent. The "Skip the Line" was definitely much faster than waiting in the regular line. We did the early tour at 8:10 am which costs a lot more but was worth the extra money because there was room to breathe and move about. We heard that later in the day it becomes claustrophobic, very tight and hot in the rooms without air conditioning. If you're going to do it, do it right with a smaller group of only 8 people and leaving early in the morning to try to beat the crowds the best you can (though there will be quite a few other groups also entering at the same time). BEST TOUR EVER!

All of the trips we booked with Viator were definitely worth it! We learned so much from our guides and saw so much that we would have missed without them. This "Skip The Line: Best of Florence Walking Tour including Accademia Gallery and Duomo" was great and very informative. The Duomo was gorgeous but I think the outside was more beautiful than the inside. You have to go to the Accademia Gallery to see The David! Our guide was so intriguing in the way she walked us through the sculpture and it made me appreciate art on a whole new level. The "Skip the Line" was definitely faster than waiting in the regular lines but basically you still have to wait in the group line (which does move quickly). The price per person was definitely worth the money to skip the line because we had very little precious time in Florence. The only way to improve this tour would be less people. A group of 20 was quite larger but the head phones to hear the guide helped to make up for that.

Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with St Mark's Basilica

All of the trips we booked with Viator were definitely worth it! We learned so much from our guides and saw so much that we would have missed without them. This "Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with St Mark's Basilica" was a great way to start our trip and learn more about Venice. The "Skip the Line" was not available because of some minor flooding so we had to wait in the regular line (which did move quickly but felt like we paid extra to skip the line for nothing). The group of 20 was a little too many people for this tour. Some didn't want to wait in the line to get in St. Marks since it was flooded which became a small issue but we still all got in at a reasonable time. Our guide was very friendly and nice but out of the 5 tours we booked on our trip to Italy, this is the one I could have skipped. However, it was the price was not too bad.
