They came earlier than I would have liked but on getting to the airport in Madrid, it was definitely better. The cost was worth having the shuttle and dispense with any hassles getting to the airport.

Doesn't matter what big city, if they have the Hop-on Hop-off tour, definitely take it, cheap and lets you get off where ever you like, see tourist spots and then just get back on again and get off at the next location, very good.

Don't normally take tours, usually take myself with car but really enjoyed getting taken for a change and the Monestery and the Valley of the Fallen was excellent, the guide was good, didn't rabbit on and everything she said was very interesting. An all day excursion with lunch, really enjoyed it and met some other great travellers.

This is definitely an item worth having, had a bit of trouble finding the pick up location at the airport, not easy to find.

Avila was OK but think I would have liked more time in Sergovia which was a more interesting place than Avila, bus seemed to go very slow getting there so a lot of time was taken up just getting to the places, so not sure I would do that again.

The shuttle was not there to meet me and I had to find the desk at the airport and they had to ring the driver to come and get me, so I didn't leave the airport, after getting clearance, for at least an hour so was not a happy chappy but certainly having the shuttle waiting if they are on the ball, is definitely worth doing.
