My Review
This tour is a must, we had lunch at the corner restaurant on the hill facing the Vatican museums enterance (delicious lasagna) and the queue was massive, after lunch we walked down to the office to meet our guide and the rest of our party, the queue hadn't gone down any when we walked up the hill to start our tour but we just walked straight in so it's well worth booking online. Our guide was fantastic she knew all there is to know and even with the large often ignorant rabble Wednesday afternoons seem to attract she was as cool as cucumber and even rearanged the tour schedule so we never missed a thing as it was extremely busy, so if possible avoid Wednesday afternoons. We had a great 4 day stay in Rome and seen most of the sights we intended see'ing, but with the running commentarry and detailed explanations of everything from start to finish our Vatican Museums visit was by far the most enjoyable and interesting part of our visit to this wonderful city. I'm sorry I forget our guides name but I will post some pics of this wonderful lady whose knowledge made the trip a memorable one and one I will do again as I'd love to do this tour on a quieter day, they really should limit the crowds especially in the Sistine Chapel as some guides (unlike ours I must say) seemed to lose some members of their parties who just barged about trying to find them...all in all a great experience and very well explained and described by the knowledgeable one!.. thanks.
