Blue Man Group at the Venetian Las Vegas

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: The show is so electrifying that you will be in awe the entire time. I loved that they really participated with the audience, and made it personal. My favorite part had to be when they used the paper rolls and the ENTIRE audience was covered. So much fun. If you have the chance to go, DO IT. You will not regret the show. You also might get to meet them after like we did, although they are not big talkers!

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: I could not believe how real the figures looked! It was like they could get up and talk to you at any minute! I loved how you could pose and interact with them as well. Some of the figures had props next to them so you could really have a full on experience. I think my favorite one would have to be Elvis. He was so dreamy!! There were multiple different rooms with many figures in each, so you could really enjoy yourself. I loved how the staff invites you to touch the figures too. It really puts a unique spin on an overall AMAZING attraction. I would definitely go again. The figures are always changing so who knows who I will see next time!

Grand Canyon All American Helicopter Tour

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: There really are no words that can fully describe this incredible tour. I will do the best I can though. The day started out perfectly being met by our pilot and shown to the helicopter that would glide us gracefully over the beautiful rocks, and ridges of the Grand Canyon. The flight itself? AMAZING. We flew over the greater Las Vegas area on our way out while listening to narration (and great music too) about the land, and interesting things that had happened there. We got to see Lake Mead, which looked immense from the air, and the Hoover Dam! I didn’t think that I would get such an up-close view of the Hoover Dam, but our pilot showed us that it was definitely possible. We continued our journey to the West rim of the canyon and even passed by the Skywalk (which looked tiny compared to the MASSIVE rock formations around it) so neat! Finally after we made our descent into the canyon, we got to get out and just bask in the beauty of one of the wonders of the world. Our pilot even took pictures for us by the helicopter! My brother and I got free time to explore the bluff and took many beautiful pictures next to the Colorado River. Lunch was great as well. Picnic style with a touch of class. Each lunch was served in its own picnic basket and a bottle of champagne for the table was perfect! After lunch, we boarded the helicopter and headed back to Las Vegas. The flight over the strip made my jaw drop! As a local, I rarely get to view my city from such an angle, and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I think flying eye level with the Stratosphere was probably my favorite. I will never forget this tour, and can’t think of anything that can top this. Thank you for an outstanding day!

Disney's The Lion King at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: This has been my third time seeing the show and I have to say, it just gets better every time. The creativity that is engineered into this show really can not be forgotten. It's really one of the most incredible shows that I have ever seen. The theater makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the African savannah with its brilliantly crafted stage and "animals" going up and down the isles. The characters are imaginative and are simply made for their parts. I enjoyed Rafiki the most, as she was so animated! Timon and Pumbaa were great as well. Overall, this is not a show to miss. Such time and care has gone into this full stage production and I recommend that everyone see it!

Morning Maverick Horseback Ride with Breakfast

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: To be quite honest, I was really nervous to take the horseback ride. I’ve never ridden a horse before and to hop on one and go through a trail was something that was nerve wracking to me! To my surprise however, the horses were so sweet and very tame, and the wranglers were incredible. They choose a horse for you and they are really great at what they do. My horse’s name was Blue, and she was the sweetest thing ever. The actual trail ride itself was gorgeous! You go through Red Rock trail and it took my breath away. It really makes you forget that glitzy Las Vegas is only 20 minutes away! The guides tell you interesting facts about the lands and things to look out for. We even spotted some wild burro there and little babies! Jack rabbits too! After the ride, you are treated to a fabulous meal at the restaurant. Certainly more than enough food to fill your cowboy belly. The petting zoo is nice as well, with all different kinds of animals. The deer were my favorite, but watch out, they like to nibble on your shirt if you aren’t looking. I would definitely take this tour again!

Las Vegas Mob Experience

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: From the minute you walk into the Mob Experience you are immersed in a world full of gangsters and underground illegal activity that went on during the underground forming of the mobsters of the 1920's prohibition era to more current times. Throughout the entire tour you are met with different characters from middlemen to mob bosses, and hit men to the cops...you even meet a virtual celeb! You even get to help out with a mission for the boss so you don't get whacked! it was such an interactive tour. Once you reach the middle of the tour, you get to check out some of the items that famous mob bosses owned or even *gasp* used! Such a cool experience. You also get your very own mobster name and get to find out what they have done in the past. I fully recommend it to anyone that is interested in anything gangster related, or to anyone looking for a good attraction that teaches you about some of the things that went on in Las Vegas's heyday. Whatever you do though, don't be a snitch! It might catch up to you by the end of the tour

Deluxe Grand Canyon South Rim Airplane Tour

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

My Review: Upon first arrival I was terrified. I’m not a big fan of flying at all but I can honestly say this was the best experience I have ever had! The jet flight out to the canyon was wonderful. You get to see the area at a view most never get to see. Once we touched down, we were taken over to the helipad. This is where the fun started! The flight was so incredible and the moment you go “over the edge” your breath is taken away. I couldn’t believe how amazing the canyon looks from the air! We also got time after our flight to spend at Bright Angel lodge to have a nice lunch and enjoy the beauty of the South rim. All of the staff were wonderful and I can’t wait to travel again with them!! Not a tour to be missed!!!

Bellagio Fountains

Attraction

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas

My Review: If you are looking for a surprise romantic stop, or something to amaze your guests, or even yourself..this is the place to go. The fountains at Bellagio are so gorgeous and are a very refreshing sight against all the neon. They change the tunes the waters "dance" to regularly and the show goes about every 30 minutes. Day, or night...this is sure to impress.

Fremont Street Experience

Attraction

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas

My Review: The Freemont Street Experience is such a fun place to go! Make sure you stop inside some of the casinos as well for freebies! They also have free live music and the light show changes almost every week. You can also find free parking at the El Cortez which is only a block or two down the street.

Grand Canyon West Rim

Attraction

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Las Vegas

My Review: The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is such a must-see for anyone's bucket list. My trip there was such a great experience and I hope to return one day. I loved all of the rich history and culture that the Hualapai Indian Nation has to offer, and I loved the dances they performed. Upon arrival, the sheer expanse of the canyon is breathtaking. It's truly not a place to be missed!

Venice Beach

Travel Recommendation

Location: Los Angeles

My Recommendation Tip: Make sure you go to Venice Beach if you want to see a fun side of Los Angeles. You can stroll the strand checking out the different stores and vendors lined up along side of the sidewalk, or check out the body builders at muscle beach! Make sure you stop by the art walls to see some of the local artists paint right in front of your eyes! No matter what you do there, you will have a great time!

Best place to shop!

Travel Recommendation

My Recommendation Tip: Melrose, California is pretty much the center of shopping and art in my opinion. There are about 10 blocks between Fairfax Ave and La Brea that are loaded with different shopping. From art, to clothes, to bikes, to food..this is The place to go if you are looking for a deal.

Best place to shop!

Travel Recommendation

Location: Los Angeles

My Recommendation Tip: My experience in Melrose, California was amazing. The shops there are fantastic and they have such a mix of old and new. Its about 10 blocks of shopping from Fairfax Avenue to La Brea and is one of the only spots in that area where you can find clothing stores that sell LOW right next to designer shops that sell way HIGH. My personal favorite store there would have to be Kid Robot and Urban Outfitters. You will not be disappointed once you hit the street. Not to mention, there is such a huge amount of artwork surrounding the streets there. Its a treat not only for your wallet, but for your eyes as well!

Pike Place Market

Attraction

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Seattle

My Review: Pike Place Market is the cultural mecca of Seattle. My experience there was one that i will never forget. Walking through the market, you are bombarded with amazing sights, smells, and sounds. There are about three levels of different shopping areas filled with stores from vintage movie posters and music, to antiques and oddities, and newer wares and clothing. The bottom level is where all the action is at though. Flying fish, and singing fish mongers, and haggling prices all around. Nothing can compare to this wonderful place. I really hope everyone has a chance to experience it once in their life!
