Top of The World

Las Vegas

My Recommendation Tip

The Top of The World restaurant is a must if you can handle the heights. Located at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel tower this restaurant is a slow rotating restaurant that gives you views all over the Las Vegas valley while enjoying some great food. Located at the north end of the strip between downtown and the main strip, this restaurant has some of the best views on the West coast. Dinner is the preferred time as you will see great sunset views and then the Las Vegas strip light up for the evening.

Sunset Dinner

San Diego

My Recommendation Tip

When traveling to San Diego one must take a ride over to Coronado Island and have dinner at Peohes. This restaurant overlooks the bay of San Diego and has a view of the downtown skyline. This is a perfect place to relax and have a nice dinner with a great view of the city, especially for sunset. With prime rib to great fish dishes Peohes is a great location for a romantic dinner or a family gathering.

Surf Meets the Turf

San Diego

My Recommendation Tip

In Del mar, just 20 minutes north of downtown San Diego lies the Del mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack. This is a must see during the summer months as the fair is featured starting in June and followed by the horse racing for the remainder of the Summer. This is a must stop if in San Diego.

Las Vegas Shows

Las Vegas

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
With so many different options for shows many overlook Le Reve at the Wynn Hotel. This show is great, with no bad seats, amazing music and great costumes. With the seating in "the round" all seats point to the middle of the"stage", which in this case is water based. With many high flying acrobatics this show is for all ages. Expect to have a good time and leave having had a great time.

Good Food, Good Drink, Good Fun

Las Vegas

My Recommendation Tip

Staying on the Las Vegas strip can be an overwhelming experience. Stopping by Dick's Last Resort at the Excalibur Hotel will be the same experience. From good drinks to good food, with live music ranges from the 70's to today with live bands and DJ's playing all your favorite tunes. The element that makes this place different is that the wait staff and bartenders are encouraged to have fun with the guests. Anything from specialized hats to dancing with a guest, nothing really is off limits. This is more recommended for the adult crowd as it can get raunchy but all in good fun. For bachelor/ bachelorette and birthday parties this would be the place to go to make sure the experience is remembered.

Music, Cigar and Drinks

Las Vegas

My Recommendation Tip

Right in the middle of the Las Vegas strip overlooking the volcano at the Mirage Hotel is the Rhumbar. With live music during the week and a DJ on the weekends this indoor/outdoor lounge is the place to visit. The music varies throughout the week from live Jazz, Latin and Reggae music. With both locals and tourists found here nightly there is plenty of opportunity to have a drink, a cigar and people watch all night long. The Rhumbar has a full bar and some great Mojitos. Dancing is always an option as the music will get you in the right mood. In the summer the outdoors is cooled down with misters and for the cooler nights there are heaters outside to keep you warm. All year long this would be the place to visit. Flat screen TV's both indoors and out will allow the guest to keep up with their favorite team no matter the season.

Secret in Kona

Big Island of Hawaii

My Recommendation Tip

The name is Huggos and this place is right on the water overlooking the ocean in Kona. With tables and chairs in the sand and a small capacity, this place is perfect to have some drinks and watch the sunset every night. Tiki torches light up just enough for you to see and the live band with all types of music allows you to relax your night away with friendly locals as well as tourists from around the world. This is a must at least one night to watch the sunset. Located right across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe and very close to shopping its easy to find and hard to leave.

Golf in San Diego

San Diego

My Recommendation Tip

When traveling to Southern California and the great city of San Diego there are many golf courses to choose from to enjoy a sun filled day either inland or right on the coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean. One of the most popular choices is Torrey Pines Golf Course on the cliffs of La Jolla. This golf course features views of the Pacific Ocean from many different golf holes and has been home to a PGA stop for over 25 years. Other golf courses to look into would include Aviara, Maderas, Barona Creek and La Costa. Each golf course is challenging yet fair and would give the San Diego visitor a break from the city and a chance to play some great golf throughout San Diego County.
