Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Small Group Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
While the tour was a long day 16 hours - tour was well organised and Positano was simply beautiful. My only complaint was the tour guide at Pompeii appeared to be on a time schedule and rush through a few things and seemed inpatient or maybe thats the italian way. I would also suggest to Viator that due to the long day, it perhaps may be a good idea to spend the night at Amalfi. It would make the trip more enjoyable and help out the poor drivers who are exhuasted by the end of it. While I have a few complaints, it certainly is worth every penny, because travelling by yourself would be very difficult. If you go in summer, take your swimming clothes because you given about 90 mins free time and it was a perfect opportunity to swim in Positano and then enough time for lunch. The Amalfi tour was professonal.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour

My Review
Definitely worth it to avoid the queues in summer and the explanation of the magnificent art work at the Uffizi. My only complaint was that we started the Accademia tour at 11am from memory and in reality the main interest is the statue of David, so the tour can be done quite quickly. The next tour commences at 4.30pm for the Uffizi and it closes at 6.30 which only gives you 30 min on your own before it closes. Think its wise to visit the Ufizi in the morning thus giving you more time to explore the beautiful art work that has been explained to you. As you only need an hour for the Accademia. Alternatively do the Accademia on your own and do the Uffizi tour in the morning with Viator.

Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
Did this on the first day I arrived in Rome and it was perfect to get rid of the jet lag and allowed me to avoid the queues at the Colosseum. The walking tour is only 3 hours and its an easy walk in my opinion. While you can do the walking tour of your own. Its definitely worth to avoid the long queues in summer for the Colosseum and the explanation of Ancient Rome.

While it does appear to be pricey, it certainly is worth every penny to avoid the long queues. The American tour guide who lives in Rome was simply amazing and highlighted the most important art work from the many to see.

Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

My Review
While it does sound a bit corny, it was simply wonderful! If you get the chance choose sunset. I went on my own as its simply too expensive to pay the gondola 80 Euros and sharing with strangers is perfect and the highlight was the serenade.

Cinque Terre Small Group Day Trip from Florence

Florence, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
While the Cinque Terra tour was not as professional as the Amalfi and Pompeii tour, the scenery is more spectacular than Amalfi and definitely worth it! This area provides you more time to see the beautiful waters and your able to walk across to the other villages and luckily were able to catch the ferry from Riomaggion to Vernazza which was my favorite! The place is less touristy than Positano, cheaper and because its surrounded by lush green national park, its superior!
