Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia

My Review: Our tour guide was book-learning student and brought some formal knowledge to this walking tour. For example, while stopping in front of Independence Hall, the guide gave his take on historical events but the participants chimed in, too. I liked the aspect of "walking" since it made one feel like being back in the 1700s with all the physical landmarks, cobblestones, and brickwork especially great was walking thru the Franklins Post Office and then on to the outline of his family home. The mid-day slot made the tour right for encountering on-the-spot dramatic performances associated with parks and landmarks.The guide mentioned the role Franklin's wife, Deborah, played in complementing his life and times. The duration or 2.5 hours was just the right amount of time to enjoy the tour

Philadelphia Segway Tour

My Review: The tour guides were very helpful with one of the fellows especially tactful to those on my tour who had no previous experience on a Segway! He brought up the rear while the other fellow was extremely descriptive of the history of the area near and around the Philadelphia Art Museum. The front leader, his personal views were inoffensive and enlightening with offers to take photos for those who wished. The whole experience was very personal and geared to the traveler such as myself.

My Review: A very enthusiastic tour guide gave us plently of drama! I loved the folk story he told us with his booming and youthful voice. I really appreciate young people after I took this tour, in general. He really knew his stuff and made everybody happy and entertained. I like that it was offered at night in the dark because it made me remember playing outside in the dark when I was a youth with all the walking we did. The tour guide was a very excellent storyteller! I am pleased we talked by and the tour guide gave narration that many of the building were empty but had caretakers.
