I am a scientist, a militant atheist, and a campaigner for equality. I am proud to be gay, and I am proud to be equal. Emmeline Pankhurst got people to make a stand against injustice to females, Martin Luther King got people to make a stand against racial injustice, now GAYS, friends and family of gays, and decent people alike, it is OUR turn to make a stand against injustice against gays across the world. It is easy to sit back and think things arent too bad... but we are second class citizens who cannot marry people we love in Britain, Spain is trying to take that right away again, America is fighting to block us, and Africa and the Middle East are EXECUTING and IMPRISONING us just for existing... I see so many of you accepting things as they are, thinking it is not so bad, and DOING NOTHING TO STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHT TO EQUALITY.... If we sit by now, we will lose our best chance to change the world for the better and make our own lives, and more importantly the lives of people in parts of the world where they suffer terribly just for being who they are. SPEAK UP. CONFRONT the bigots, WIN the arguments with logic and tear down the flaws in their flimsy arguments. Do not take our limited freedoms for granted, as across the world those freedoms are rapidly eroding...

Vienna Historical City Tour with Schonbrunn Palace Visit

My Review: the "historical city tour" part was a total waste of time, being driven around in a coach pointing at things through the window. but schonbrunn was excellent and the guide was great for that part. to see the sights you need to walk around and go in to places... this tour only really drives past things on the way to schonbrunn

My Review: took AGES at the airport of repeatedly asking the woman at the desk where the car was before it finally came. convenient but not particularly cheap when it arrived, but was over 45 minutes of waiting at the airport before being met by the driver... not good

Heidiland and Liechtenstein Tour from Zurich: Two Countries in One Day

My Review: Guide Peter was outstanding, told wonderful stories about Heidi, Johanna Spyri the author, and all about the areas we visited. My advice with to improve this tour is let Peter tell more stories, give more facts, and leave out Liechtenstein!!!
The tour itself however was variable - Rapperswil is beautiful, and some of the scenery we saw was stunning, but Liechtenstein was boring as hell and not worth bothering to go and see...

My Review: Not a great tour of Zurich, aside from the town centre it showed some odd choices as highlights and missed out some major things. Other tours are much better.
And as for the chocolate factory - you CANT GO IN!!! waste of time... its just a shop selling chocolate to you... expensive chocolate...

Budapest Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

My Review: i was unfortunate to have a day with torrential rain, but the "english" guide barely spoke a word and was totally uninterested in giving us any information. plus she kept losing people along the way by telling us to congregate somewhere, and then going somewhere totally different. such a shame as the itinerary is spectaculour, but to be honest it was the same as going to see all these things yourself without the old lady making the odd pointless comment and then dragging you away. Budapest is amazing, go see everything on this itinerary, but she added nothing and all the things you see are either free or else you still need to pay to go in. all you get is a coach, which took a really long time to go a short distance. i got lost at one point and missed the coach, walked to the next site 15 mins away and got there BEFORE the coach. dont be put off the other tours, the other ones i did here with this company were great, especially the parliament one which is totally worth getting here to avoid queues and have a really passionate interesting guide
