Walking tour initially of the quieter area behind St Mark's with a knowledgeable guide who took great care not to lose her clients in the narrow lanes and spoke clearly which helps when the listening devices we are issued with give a less than really clear signal. Although we were pleased to get into the Basilica and jump the queues but in the heat after a long walk, with so many people there at the Basilica and the interior being quite dark we were not able really to spend time to appreciate its grandeur. 5* for the guide herself and overall good value
A knowledgeable guide but because he was inclined to talk as he walked, with a noticeable accent and less that good listening devices much of the information he was imparting during the tour was not understood. This was much less of an issue when we stopped and gathered around when it was easier to follow the guide's explanations. We enjoyed the walk through ther lanes/calli and the gondola ride but suspect the latter caused the cost of the tour to be quite expensive so hence we rated this overall as a 3* experience
