Madrid is not a very bike friendly city but our guide was thorough and careful with us and we made it though great. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. There are some hills and you do ride in the street with cars, but we never once felt unsafe and everyone in our small group was able to do the trip without any problems. I so so so highly recommend bike tours as ways to see any city. It was so so so super fun.

We LOVED this Tapas Tour. Our one regret of our vacation was not doing a tapas tour in Barcelona. This was a great great way to learn about tapas, feel comfortable in tapas places, learn about Madrid, and meet new people. Danny was an AWESOME tour guide and even stayed out with some of us long after the tour was over talking and drinking and having fun. I would have done this every night we were in Madrid if I could.

Barcelona is one of the most bike friendly cities I've ever been in, and biking is one of the most excellent ways I can think of to see the city. This is a great way to spend the first half of your first day there, seeing where things are, getting a small introduction and then going back later to explore specific places further.
I do have to say, our tour guide was a kind of obnoxious Frat-boy American who had more bad jokes than good accurate history stories, but I think that was just the luck of the draw and by the end of the trip, we were drinking sangria on the beach with him and really enjoying him.
