As this was a Ruby Wedding trip to Rome our sons booked us the visit to the Vatican and it was undoubtedly the highlight of our holiday. The ability to skip the queues was obviously a big advantage but the visit would have been much less interesting without the detailed description of everything we were actually seeing. The guide was very knowledgeable and witty which made the whole visit very enjoyable. The details she was able to point out in both the Sistine Chapel and St Peters would have completely escaped our attention without the guide. The tour is an absolute must.
