Private Tour: Mekong River Cruise Tour from Ho Chi Minh City

My Review: We enjoyed this trip to the Mekong Delta, however we didn't realize that it was a three hour long journey each way by van to the Mekong Delta area, which made it a very long day. It was great to see the floating markets and the Vietnamese way of life on the river. The Elephant Ear fish for lunch was interesting!

My Review: Really enjoyed this trip. We didn't have a lot of time at the tunnels due to time constraints to get to Cao Dai Temple but we were so glad we had decided to do both as seeing the Cao Dai worshipers was really the highlight of the day for us. We felt privileged to have an insight into their prayer practices. Our guide was lovely, spoke great English and was very open with information about life in Vietnam which we were really grateful for.

My Review: This tour is definitely worth doing if you are short of time in HCMC. We personally had 6 days there and felt we could have had longer and got more information if we had done some of the sights ourselves as they are all within easy reach of the city. The Reunification Palace has guided tours regularly which are free of charge. Having said that, we were taken to places on this tour which we would not have seen had we not been with a guide which is why it is worth doing.

My Review: We were met at the airport by a smart man holding a board with our name on. We arrived New Year's Eve and it was bedlam outside the airport when we arrived and we don't know what we would have done if we had not booked this transfer.
