San Francisco Bay Sunset Cruise

My Review: Great cruise. The buffet that was served was more than adequate and plenty of food, plus one free beverage. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cruise was lovely. The evening we took it though it was rather misty and we started off disappointed at the thought that we wouldn't see much but actually we did despite all the mist. The views of the city and bridge were fab and the changing sky was lovely too. It was quite cold up on deck so take a jumper or jacket!

My Review: This pass was well worth the money for the transport alone. We stayed on Van Ness Avenue so relied on transport alot to get us about. The cable cars are $6 for one trip and we were taking anything between 4-6 a day. Also we went to the Baseball park so by having the pass it allowed us to negotiate all of the transport easily without worrying about buying tickets etc. We also visited the aquarium (which was average) and took the day cruise (which was great). Plus we used the discount voucher on bike hire. Unfortuately we ran out of time to go to the Califonia Science Academy. I would say that we definately saved money using the pass and would recommend them if the activities are ones you are interested.

Las Vegas Night Strip Helicopter Tour

My Review: We very much enjoyed our helicopter tour over las vegas. The lights at night were amazing. Fabulous to see the strip from a different view. Our pilot was very informative and friendly.
Although you are only in the air for a short period of time (Aprrox 10-12 mins) we would 100% recommend this activity as a fab thing to do whilst in Vegas.

Las Vegas Bite Card

My Review: In my opinion this card is a total waste of time. Firstly it was very difficult to actually find the cafe in which to pick up the card. Granted the card came with a list of attractions, shows and resturants which had some kind of discount but there was not a whole heap of choice. The restaurants typically offered 10% off but were not the well known restaurants on the strip and many quite hard to find. Most of the restaurants/cafes did not know what the card was for or what discount to offer and the majority of the time I had to carry around all the info to prove to the vender that I was entitled to discounts etc. The attractions and shows were in my opinion not the big attractions on the strip and probably not the ones that most visitors would opt to do first. We did take advantage of the two for one offer at Lake Mead Cruises though which did save us a fair amount of cash. All in all I genuinely wouldn't bother with this card because although we did save a bit of money I really don't think it was worth the hassle. Certainly if you were considering buying the card then only one per couple is necessary. And definately research what offers you will get and see if they are relevant to what you hope to do!

Statue of Liberty Evening Cruise

My Review: We enjoyed our evening cruise. The crew on the boat gave a very good commentry throughout the evening. A nice touch was that they took photo's for you with your camera, which was nice as a group photo is hard work otherwise! The only negative point was that we were shunned to the back of the queue and made to wait for a coach load of people to get on to the boat despite arriving BEFORE anyone else including the coach. We were there well in advance of the time and the boat. It was freezing cold and we did not appreciate being shoved to the back of a group. We paid our money the same as those people, and we then missed out on all the seats on the top of the boat. A system that is very POOR and does dose not appreciate smaller group bookings.

Copenhagen Card

My Review: The CPH Card is very good value for money and well worth buying if you are interested in seeing the sights. We purchased the 72 hr card before we left and picked it up from the airport in Copenhagen upon arrival. Easy. You get 72 hrs to use the card from the first time you use it so a little bit of planning will ensure that you get the best use out of it. All of the things we wanted to seedo were included on the card such as visting Copenhagen zoo, Amalienborg Palace, Amalienborg Museum, Rosenborg Castle, The Round Tower, The City Hall, Christiansborg Palace, Christiansborg Ruins and Tivoli both day and night We also used the card to get a discount on the Canal Tour. We added up the cost of these individually and found that the card saved us a fair amount of money without even taking into consideration the amount that we would have spent on the transport we used. The card allowed us free transport on the S Tog, City Buses and Metro all of which we used daily. It was great to just get on and not have to worry about trying to find and buy tickets. I would recommend this card to anyone who enjoys seeing the sights as you will save money, however if you are only going to see one or two things then it's probably not worth it.
