I actually found this tour to be a little boring. The driver was also the guide, so it was quite robotic and not very personal. I prefer couch tours which have a separate guide as they tend to be more interesting. Not recommended.

My Review

It was definitely worth paying a travel service to drive you around and explain the history of the city. Very cheap too. The travel service turned up at my hotel on time and were professional. The English of the tour guide was very good.

The only thing I didn't like was the mandatory trip to the souvenir shop at the end of the day where the shopkeepers follow you around the store. I ended up buying a jade pendant for 800NTD which I later saw in the airport duty free shop for 580NTD. Other than that, I would highly recommend this trip to anybody.
