We only had 2 days in Auckland and this tour was perfect! Both of our guides were great - very informative and flexable. I really liked how the day was broken into 2 parts, giving a good overall view of the area. We have done other tours where we were on the bus most of the day, but this one got us off quite a bit which was nice. We LOVED the Karekere waterfall, the black sand beach, and seeing all the volcanoes. All in all, it was a great trip. I was a little confused from the description what we would be doing for lunch, but they dropped us off at a fish market where we had a choice of what to eat. Overall - we really enjoyed this day.

I am glad that we booked this tour as I have never been to a rainforest, but there was really so much driving. Not that it is the fault of the tour as the Daintree is about 2 hours from Cairns, but the bus was very cramped - the seats close together and not very comfortable. Overall, it was a neat experience, but I don't think I would do it again - especially considering the cost.

This was our favorite day in Cairns! We had a basic package, with just snorkeling, and we loved it. We did have a few problems, like my goggles leaking. My nice husband traded me after awhile, but they eventually broke - the glass popped right out (no wonder they leaked!) It was a pain to have to go all the way back to the boat to get new ones and luckily they had (sort of) lasted most of the day, but we didn't get in as much snorkeling as we would have liked. It was beautiful though. Just 10 feet into the water you can look down and see a lot. I wish we had booked this trip for 2 days! We would have loved to snorkel some more, and we wanted to walk all the way around the island but we ran out of time. Overall - this was a great day.
