A long day! It's a 3-4 hour drive (with no stops!) through uninspiring countryside, which of course is not the fault of the tour operator. The guides were considerate, knowledgeable and diligent (almost too diligent, info overload here, a lot of it repetitive), the lunch a disaster (rude waiters, slow service .. they knew we were coming!) Budapest is beautiful, good walking tour, difficult to see much on the bus tour (given the tour was in 3 languages, the site was gone before you knew what it was) but good opportunities for pictures on our free time. I can't rate this very highly, the restaurant needs to be changed, the script read by the operators needs to be edited (I heard 6 times that Budapest is divided into 23 districts) A day tour of any city, as we know, can only show one so much, but there is a lot of potential in this trip that isn't being realized or used properly.

Absolutely amazing! Do not see myself as an "opera guy! ... more Grand Old Opry, lol ... but this was incredible. Historical costumes, 18th century palace, magical evening. This is what heaven will sound like.
