My Recommendation Tip
One of the most moving memorials I have seen is one along the bank of the Danube River in Budapest. It consists of 45 pairs of bronzed shoes representing 45 Jews who were shot by the Hungarian fascists in 1945. It is a very simple memorial, yet it creates a very deep emotional impact on all who see it.
