Normandy Battlefields Tour - American Sites

Bayeux, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

My husband and I ended our 10 day road trip through France with this tour and in the week since can't stop talking about it. We have done quite a bit of traveling, but this tour by far exceeds most of what we've experienced. I was a little concerned with the length of the trip, however afterwards we felt like we could have continued a few more hours. There is just so much to see and I would have liked to have more time to explore the American cemetery. It was such a moving experience and something I will never forget. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure everyone had questions answered throughout the day. One unexpected highlight was the visit at Pointe du Hac where there are massive craters from the ariel attacks prior to D-Day. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. You will forever be changed by this experience.

Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Small Group Tour from Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This was a very moving experience although difficult to get through emotionally. I may have given it 5 stars if our tour guide had been more informative. She was nice and personable, however she didn't provide much that I wouldn't have received by just taking a personal visit to the memorial. We were there on the anniversary of the US troops liberating the camp so there were actual survivors making speeches. Would highly recommend a visit, just be prepared for the emotional aspect, it stayed with me all day.

Neuschwanstein Castle Small Group Day Tour from Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

I have been wanting to see this castle for some time and this tour did not disappoint. Our tour guide Jared was fabulous, and constantly went above and beyond our expectations. He was very informative, enthusiastic about the topic, and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. The walk up to the castle is very steep and exhausting in the sun but well worth it. The people that took the bus ended up only having a quick min to take pictures on the bridge as there was a line and we beat them up by 15 min. That being said if you doubt your ability to make it up you should take the bus. The castle is beautiful inside and out and the story of King Ludwig very fascinating. This is very worth while and I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Jared!

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's

My Review

We really loved our experience with this tour. While it was very crowded and warm (being July and peak season) our tour guide was very well organized and passionate about the topic. We were able to avoid having to wait around and were given so much more information than we would have ever received going to visit the Vatican on our own. The Sistine Chapel took my breath away. I highly recommend this tour.

Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields Tour from Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Netherlands

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

The Keukenhof Gardens were just as beautiful as I imagined. I had to go in early April, however a few more weeks and it would have been even more amazing. Because of the time my train came in I had to do the 6 hour tour, however if I were going to plan this again I probably would take the shorter trip. The bus ride is comfortable and everything was right on time. I would recommend packing a lunch and having a picnic, however there were a few places to buy snacks/sandwiches. Have your camera ready, this place is gorgeous!

London Afternoon Tea at Grosvenor House

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

I was very much looking forward to having a proper tea in London and was not at all disappointed. The staff were very attentive, the piano and decor of the room created a relaxed ambiance, and the food was delicious. I especially loved the scones with clotted cream. Easy to book and very accommodating. Just make sure to go hungry and make late dinner plans!
