Big Island Day Trip: Volcanoes National Park from Oahu

My Review: Had a fantastic day and with blue skies we had the added bonus of clear views of Big Island as the Hawaiian Airlines plane followed the east coast and approached Hilo airport. Our tour guide for the day was great fun. A pity there wasn't any lava actually flowing on the day, but for myself a former geology teacher, it was a real treat to get close to the volcano and walk on the lava flows.

USS Missouri, Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor and Punchbowl Day Tour

My Review: The visit to Pearl Harbour was excellent but it took far too long to get there with several hotel pickups and the same on the way back. Also there was insufficient time on the Pearl Harbour complex. For example we did not have time to tour all of the Missouri or to read all the museum displays about the attack. The tour of Honolulu should be removed from the excursion so more time can be spent at Pearl Harbour itself. My husband was very disappointed after travelling thousands of miles to do the tour and he felt cheated and angry with the way the day was planned out.
