Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields Tour from Amsterdam
Tour / Activity
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
My Review: At this time of the year, there is nothing better than visit Keukenhof if in the Netherlands. The bus was comfortable, the guide gave us all the information that we needed and the tulips and other flowers were spectacular. OK, so there may have been more in 10 days or so but, why quibble.
I look forward to further tours with Viatour .

Toledo Half-Day or Full-Day Trip from Madrid
Tour / Activity
Location: Madrid, Spain
My Review: Toledo is a very interesting town with much of interest. But, on the full day tour, the lunch was atrocious and had to go down from the town and be taken to an absolute tourist trap. The smart people stayed in town and ate on their own. Another major complaint is that Toledo has much to offer shoppingwise. But there was no time given to visit any of the shops. And I had planned on a few things from Toledo. Finally had the luck to find a place across the street from the Prado Museum. Good tour leader. Be prepared to walk up and down stairs, hills, cobblestones.
My guess is that you can see everything that there is to see on this tour with the half-day trip. All the good stuff was done before lunch.

Barcelona Card with Guidebook
Tour / Activity
Location: Barcelona, Spain
My Review: If you are doing the sights of Barcelona and have only less the 3 or 4 days, you do not need this. The subways (metro) are inexpensive and my wife and I walked everywhere, seniors that we are.

Montserrat Royal Basilica Half-Day Trip from Barcelona
Tour / Activity
Location: Barcelona, Spain
My Review: Great place to visit even with some rain and fog which was interesting in its own right. Certainly, can see all in the half day trip but would rate this in the do not miss catagory. Very interesting in the way that it all was constucted and very interesting. The church itself is a gem. Apparently, popular site for a pilgrimage. From where the bus let us off, plenty of vendors and we bought a few delicious cheese. For the tourists, like us, plenty to see and buy with some very interesting liquors. There were 2 eateries, I hesitate to call them anything else, oh well. Eat cheese and crackers instead.

Barcelona Morning Sightseeing Tour
Tour / Activity
Location: Barcelona, Spain
My Review: We booked the morning tour with Viator and liked it so much we opted to do the afternoon tour also. In November, no crowds.
We saw much of what there is to see in Barcelona and we were then able to plan what we wanted to do the next 2-3 days and could not have done so without this well planned and well executed introduction to Barcelona. You can do it from the guide books, but you will miss out on things. On your own, don't miss the market La boqueria mercato on La Rambla!!!
