Inverness, United Kingdom
A long day from Inverness but well worth it. A whole heap of amazing sights all on the one trip. The driver/guide on Orkney is a local and an absolute fount of local knowledge and history. Great value tour and we enjoyed it from start to finish (having a beautifully sunny day helped a lot!).
A great alternative way to see Stockholm. The commentary is pre-recorded but it synced perfectly with the locations. It was a very pretty and relaxing way to see Stockholm and the parks and countryside close by. The only problem we had was finding the actual ticket office and departure point. It is practically impossible to locate the sign from the street and the receipt's directions were somewhat vague and ambiguous. As there are multiple companies running similar canal tours, I would have appreciated clear and precise instructions and better signage. But all in all, a really enjoyable experience.
Fantastic!! We absolutely loved this tour. It was really great to get out of the city to see some of the beautiful Danish countryside. Helsingor was wonderful. Just one negative point (not the only tour that has this small problem) was that none of our paperwork pinpointed exactly where to await "pick up". A bit of guess-work was involved. May I suggest that receipts advise that you wait "near the Hans Christian Anderson" statue opposite the Tivoli Gardens and also that the coach driver will walk to there to collect people? Apart from this nervous start, a fantastic way to spend a day in Copenhagen.
Windermere, United Kingdom
A lovely short tour with some very pretty stops. We greatly appreciated the hotel pick-up in Ambleside. We were slightly disappointed to miss out on our pre-paid cream tea due to the time constraints imposed by a lengthy wait for serveral "no-shows" who were meant to be waiting at the Windemere train station. This is such a beautiful area, I would recommend an all day tour if time permits, but if not, this "capsule" tour is a good choice.
Fantastic!!! A long, long tour (something like 12 and a half hours from start to finish) - and I wouldn't have passed up a minute of it. Siena and San Gimingano are astonishingly beautiful and Pisa, well Pisa is truly a wonder of the world. I never quite believed it until I saw it with my own eyes - and I'm so glad I did. The included lunch is delicious and accompanied by excellent local wine, the whole tour was very merry by the time we finished our meal! Our guide, Stefano, was briliant. Throughout the long day he remained helpful, incredibly cheerful and smiling, entertaining and informative, while vigilantly (though subtly!) keeping us all on the right track and on time. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a full day to spare while in Florence or nearby. It is fantastic value for money. Bravo!
