Really enjoyed the Empire State Building Observatory - don't miss it. Having a Viator ticket meant we could jump the queue.There's an option to pay extra and go up an additional 15 floors.
But the NY Skyride was pretty much a waste of time - give it a miss.

This dinner cruise was amazing and well worth the money.
We weren't able to reach the company to confirm out booking though and that was a bit frustrating. Luckily we arrived early - as we'd walked, I had joggers on and was told that I could go onboard without suitable footware. Interestingly, one of the parking attendants walked up to my husband and I and offered to sell me a pair of men's shoes for $100. He had a boot full of shoes so I guess this happens often. Being a woman, I decided not to go that way and walked to the nearest shoe shop.
There are free buses that do loops to the main centres, but no one bothered to tell us.

Best thing ever - we did it first so had the excitement of seeing NYC from the helicopter before going up the Empire State Building

This was a great way to see the city quickly. We really enjoyed it although you are exposed to the elements - so go prepared. There was a few places we would have liked to hop off and explore, but the buses were usually full, and we didn't want to risk not being able to jump on the next bus when it suited us.

The included cruise was great.

The official tour was very basic and probably not worth the money.
But we really did enjoy the boat ride.

Don't miss this - it's easy to catch a taxi and buy your own ticket.
We were surprised that it simply wasn't open for several days for maintenance, when we wanted to go back again.
