We really enjoyed our trip. Pick up from the hotel worked well. It was good to skip the line, especially as it was pouring down with rain. Our guide was very informative, which makes a big difference when understanding such an amazing place. If anything, we would have liked to stay a bit longer. We were not impressed with being taken to an expensive retail outlet afterwards, although that seems to be the norm with most tours. The Sistine is definitely worth the trip and worth getting up early for.

This was an amazing experience despite the terrible weather. The guide was very good, and made it all very interesting. It is such a huge place, it would have been easy to miss out on some of the important buildings. The visit to Naples was a waste, as it was raining so much, but I'm sure things would have looked good in the sun. Beware of being taken to expensive retail outlets.
