Viator VIP: Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial
New York City, New York
My Rating

It is well worth the money to pay just a bit more and have the VIP access. The Empire State Building during peak times can have a 2 to 4 hour wait. This tour enables you access prior to the public opening times. In our case we only had around 14 people on the tour so we had the whole observatory to ourselves. It was awesome
Likewise the Shuttle and Aircraft Carrier gave us access for a full 20mins prior to being opened to anyone else. There were approx 150 people waiting to enter and our little group was straight in ahead of them for 20mins. We felt very special! Ground Zero was also a painless experience due to a timed entry for our group. Although the security screening takes a while to get through we did not have to wait in line to get in to the actual memorial as this was all prearranged. Statue of Liberty cruise was also good and you had a great deal of flexibility with when you wanted to do that part. Its a fairly big day so allow about 7 hours which includes some free time after Ground Zero. The cruise over to Lady Liberty is then taken at your leisure and you can finish the day as you like.
Our tour guide was also excellent for the day and this also made the experience a memorable one. I cannot recommend this tour enough and it is the best $100 or so that you will spend in New York. We also purchased the Big Red Bus hop on and off tour and this was good to get around and see other sites, but the VIP access tour is the only way to see the big ticket items.

San Francisco, California
My Rating

A good day at the winneries. Ensure light clothing as the temp is much hotter than San Francisco. Good bus driver who was friendly and had good knowledge of the area. Bus was a little warm though. The lunch stop is a little over the top with limited choices and quite expensive. There is a bakery though that makes a fresh ham and salad rolls which is the way to go. Save your dollars for dinner back in San Fran.

Grand Canyon West Rim Self-Drive SUV Day Trip from Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada
My Rating

This is the best way to go. The SUV drive yourself from Vegas allows you to be in total comfort and to get there in your own time. We did the Helicopter, Sky Walk and Boat ride as well which was great. Lunch at the ranch was also great qualtity. All booked through Viator.

My Rating

We did this to at least see the landscape on the way to Vegas. The bus was comfortable and tour assistant very polite and quite humerous. It is an adequate way to get there and you dont have all the stress of the airport as both LA and Vegas Airports are huge. A good way to go that takes about 4.5hours.
