The trip is well worth the journey and it is nice to get ut of the traffic laden city. Our real problem was our trips were at the weekend and could get no answer at all from the viator office when we tried to confirm our trip. This was very stressful and in the end we just waited hoping they would turn up. The plus side is the group was nice and small at only 8.It could be described as a hard climb up the pyramids and it can be uneven under foot. One french lady fell and had to wait 3 hours for an ambulance,so wear good footwear.

Despite the description of what to look for when we arrived at the airport the rep was not in orange and nor did we exchange vouchers so the details were confusing and we had real trouble finding him in the airport. On the return we were given 2 different pickup times 45minutes apart and we had real trouble getting hold of anyone to speak to , to confirm pick up in the first place. Overall we found this far too stressful.

Our guide lacked enthusiasm for Tulum. We did this after Chichen Itza and were disappointed. In hindsight we should have done a whole day at Xel-Ha which was fabulous. All you can eat and dring all day and lots to do. This was the highlight.

Super, do it. It is well worth the journey into the rainforest and a must see . The trip with Viator was cheaper than comparable companies.The guide was super and very knowledgeable.
