Big Island Day Trip: Volcanoes National Park from Oahu

My Review: BIG DAY! was really good, but very long day from hotel pick up to drop off. the island is beautiful, with lots to see. you spend a lot of time in the bus travelling, but the driver was really cool and informative with lots of local insights and stories. the crater and black sand beach are the best, the orchid farm and macadamia plantation didn't really interest me, but the travel in between was still ok. you see some things you don't really want, but it works out a lot cheaper and easier than organizing it all yourself

My Review: my 2nd trip here and it was even better than the 1st! the bus trip up there is great, meeting all the people and the tour guide is very knowledgeable on the center and hawaii. my partner and i got to sit in reserved seating right at the front of the bus because it was my birthday. say YES to the offer the your guide makes at the center. its $25 for a full day touring with him and buffet lunch, i was skeptical but was well worth it! he gets you priority seating, some private shows and more info along the day. the dinner was great and cultural and the HA show was awesome

My Review: We booked the 2 day Power Pass, i wouldn't get one for much longer as they are more quieter days and have to be used consecutively. we went to the zoo, went on the trolleys to ala moana shopping centre, hired surfboards and some other small things. dont make your whole holiday on power pass though, you dont get to experience enough
