Muir Woods and Sausalito Day trip -
This trip needs some modification. You get almost an hour and half which is quite enough to look around but then they take you to Sausalito and give you only 45 mins which is crazy less, cos Sausalito is a nice little place full of shopping stores and restaurants that you need more time. In 45 mins you have to hurry to even grab a quick bite. After that they take you back to their office and you have to wait for an hour for the city tour. So there is some serious time management issue here.
San Francisco Deluxe City Tour - This tour is appropriately timed and planned. You get enough time at all the touristy spots that they take you. You see all the districts and stops are made at the golden gate bridge, twin peaks and some beach.

This is a very good tour to see the coastal towns on highway 1, though you do not stop at any of them. You directly stop at Monterey row for lunch only for an hour. It's really a nice place but then you have to either starve and see the place or have lunch. After that you are taken to 17 mile drive and the pebble beach with some small stops. Later you go to Caramel by the sea which is again a nice little town for shopping and a beach. Enough time is given here to shop or just move around or go to the beach.

This is a very good option to reach your hotel from the airport. The drivers are courteous and so are the other staff at airport guiding you to the shuttle. It's a shared ride and takes around 25 mins to reach downtown hotels.
