Cusco Market Tour and Pisco Sour Lesson

Cusco, Peru

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Our guide Lilliana took us to the food market near plaza san francisco. I think it was called santa Clara. We got to see the different animals parts, meet and vegetables. Our guide even bought us a prickly pear to try. I bought coca tea there and peruvian chocolate with quinoa.
We then went to the san blas area which is the artsy part. We didn't see many artisans due to the rain, but it was really great to see.
We finished up the tour at a bar called museo de pisco. The bartender amodeo demonstrated how to make a pisco sour then we got to make our own! We got behind the bar! It was really neat! After the tour i bought a bottle of pisco to take home with me!

Small-Group Lima Coast Bike Tour

Lima, Peru

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

I was really glad i did this tour. It was hard though! There were hills, and we had to ride on roads. We biked almost 10 miles. I was pooped. Our tour guide giorgio was really good. He seemed to really be into cycling, so i am thinking he made it more difficult. My legs were like rubber afterwards.
We biked from the plastic jesus, through chorrillos, barranco, and miraflores. I had a lot of fun. In recommend doing a bike tour whenever to travel to a new place.

Niagara Falls Wine Tour with Cheese Pairings

Niagara Falls, Canada

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Very nice! You go to 4 different wineries and you get to try 3 or 4 different wines at each place. Some places were better pourers than others. I drank a lot of wine that day! Please make sure you eat before it. The cheese pairing was good, but that only occurred at one winery, and the cheese pieces were very small. Our tour guide carol was great, but i feel so badly that i forgot to tip her!

El Yunque Rainforest Half-Day Trip from San Juan

San Juan, Puerto Rico

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review

I was not pleased with this tour. For the cost of the tour, basically it paid for the transportation to the rainforest. The tour guide Richie was nice, but I expected him to walk us through the rainforest and explain it to us. We were dropped off at various locations in the foest, and told to meet him back on the bus. It really was not exciting, plus the other people on the tour were horribly obnoxious, The tour does take you to a restaurant for lunch, but it is not included. I think that the restaurant, the rum house, was racist. Everyone in the group got their food on time, except for the group of black women. It was appalling. I was so ashamed and embarassed for the restaurant.

Rum Distillery and Old San Juan Half-Day Tour

San Juan, Puerto Rico

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

You get two free drinks that come in small plastice cups. You can chose the rum and the other beverage to mix in with it. That was nice. The distillery tour part was kind of boring, but there was one part where a guy shows you how to make a real daiquiri. As for the tour of OSJ, it really wasnt. The guide Ricky Ricardo dropped us off at Castillo de San Cristobal. He gave us no background info. He jut told us to meet him back on the van. He then dropped us off at the city center. We had time to shop around. He told us to get back on the van at a certain time. My friend and I just stayed in OSJ. Youre allowed to, but just make sure you let the guide know. This tour was fine, but if you really want to learn about OSJ do the dinner tour!

Sitges and Freixenet's Cava Wine Cellars Day Trip from Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

The tour of the cava cellar was a bit boring, and you do not get to taste all of the cavas. You get one glass of cordon negro. I would have rather had a sip of each one than one class of one type.
Sitges is a nice, gay friendly beach. If you hate gays, this is not the place for you. The days that we went it was kind of chilly, but it was great to see an actual beach, not the fake beach in Barcelona. It was great to see another side of Catalonia. I would recommend this trip if you are interested in wine, want to get out of Barcelona, and you are supportive of gays.

Barcelona Half-Day Bike Tour

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Awesome! Great to see Barcelona by bike. It was really easy, and I am a terrible bike rider! You learn history, and you get to see parts of Barcelona you may not see by just walking. You end the tour on the man made beach. You will have to buy all of your food and drinks. Be aware that after you eat and drink there is still a little bit left of the bike tour. Nothing like a little drunken bike riding! I really like our guide. his name was Jordan, and he was funny and knew a lot abt Barcelona.

4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

Great show!!! I liked the tour of Seville before hand too! My friend and I bought the tickets with dinner. It was expensive, and honestly the meal wasnt great. It wasnt gross, but I just had eaten better elsewhere. I recommend the show ans the drink, but eat afterwards at one of the great tapas bars Seville has to offer!

Madrid Card

Madrid, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

It is worth its weight in gold just to bypass the lines to the prado and palacio real! I recommend this if you like museums and hate waiting in lines. I only got the 24 hr one, and it was enough to see the prado, botannical gardens, and palacio. it you are really into museums, get the 48 hr card. Im not a huge museam fan, so I lost interest very quickly in the prado! So dark!

Barcelona Walking Tour: Picasso and Picasso Museum

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

Great tour if youre interested in Picasso! You walk through Barcelona learning about Picasso, then you end the tour at the museum. Great gift shop! Directions for meeting place are confusing. You must go down a flight of stairs at the plaza catauna to find the meeting place. Guide was good, and i like the fact that we all had headphone so that the guide didnt have to scream.
