Cinque Terre Hiking Day Trip from Florence

My Review: Fabulous Tour. We LOVED Alex and Stefano. They made the hike and the culture come to life for us. We felt like we were just hiking with our really good friends. And the Cinque Terre is incredible. I wanted to stay.

Siena and San Gimignano Day Trip from Florence

My Review: Loved Siena and our tour guy, she had great knowledge and was a delight. The Cathedral is one of the best I have seen, including the Illuminated Manuscripts. Just wish we would have had a little more time in San Gimignano. It was short but the Gelatto was amazing. Another hour there and the trip would have been perfect.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour

My Review: The Accademia was wonderful and our tour guy was great. The David is worth the price, but the unfinished works by Michaelangelo were the best. The Tour at the Uffizi was not as great. The tour guy was a bit scattered and was way to excited and long winded about the subject. But both are well worth the price.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Tour

My Review: This was my least favorite of my tours. The tour guy acted as if she was bored to death and was very put out when questions were asked. The Vatican is of course amazing as is the Sistine Chapel (which was what I was looking forward to most) She was knowledgeable but bored. It was nice to by pass all the ticket lines, but would have liked someone a bit more engaged with the group. At the end of this tour they hustle you in and shut the door on you in a souvenir shop and explain that this is the ONLY shop that has items blessed by the Pope. The prices were triple that of the actual Vatican shop and when confronted about the lie, the sales women remarked "Well you don't really think the Pope takes time to bless souvenirs, do you?" The tour guide obviously gets a kick back. So don't be swept up in a moment of high pressure sales. Buy you Vatican souvenirs at the Vatican shop.

Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour

My Review: Excellent Tour. Our guide was very passionate about his subject and made the whole tour interesting and funny for all of us. Allowing plenty of time to look around on our own and also see so much.
