Skip the Line: Van Gogh Museum and Amsterdam Canal Bus Hop-On Hop-Off Day Pass
Tour / Activity
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
My Review: I loved this museum. But, even though I went to the front of the line I did have a wait but not as long as others did that did not have tickets. The line was very, very long. As it was it took me about 15-20 minutes before I entered the museum. Expect to spend some time there as there is much to see and the talking tour is worth the 5 Euros. Also the museum has a great store for shopping later.

Amsterdam City Sightseeing Tour
Tour / Activity
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
My Review: The tour helped me to navigate the city on my own afterward with a street map. We also stopped at a diamond factory for a tour which was very informative and of course the diamonds were great too. They had a store where you could purchase jewelry, watches, and of course diamond rings! We saw many of the museums, Ann Frank House enabling me to decide how to spend the balance of my day and how to locate these sites on my own via the canal buses.

Zaanse Schans Windmills, Marken and Volendam Half-Day Trip from Amsterdam
Tour / Activity
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
My Review: This tour was super great. I love seeing the countryside on the way to the Cheese factory and the guide was excellent at explaining the use of windmills and how many original windmills are now left in Amsterdam. The use of the dykes and the use of the little land they have available. The Towns of Marken and Volendam are very picturesque and the weather was particularly nice the day I toured so the boat ride was excellent. The wooden shoe factory and windmills were lovely and again the tour guide explained about the different types of wooden shoes and their uses in 4 different languages. This is a do not miss tour!
