This was a beautiful outing. It was a sunny day and the scenery on the boat ride and on Capri was stunning. Good views of Sorrento hills and of Vesuvio. The lunch was very good - if a little rushed. We took the optional boat ride around the island. More beautiful views of the island from another perspective. The 1€ cost to get into the public garden was the best bargain of the day. Beautiful plantings and breathtaking views from the highest point on the island. I'd do this again in a heartbeat!

Pompeii was so interesting. In the US we sometimes fool ourselves that a few hundred years of history is 'ancient', but this was really a historic place. Our guide, Andreas, was very knowledgeable and gave us beau coup information and a few laughs as well. Vesuvio was magnificent. Wished I'd dressed a little warmer for the hike to the top, but I still enjoyed it and can say I CLIMBED VESUVIO!! It was spectacular. The scenery all the way up the mountain is unbelievable. Sweeping views of the entire city of Naples, and the sea. Loved it.

This was good - a good array of stops within easy reach of museums and other sights. We had a little trouble finding the spot to get our prepaid tickets. It was a little walk from the railway terminal, but our paperwork indicated it was at the terminal. It wasn't far, but it was down the hill and across a busy street. We were happy once we found it, though. The audio 'guide' available on the bus was a nice feature. The buses are frequent enough so we never had to wait a long time. The ride to Fiesole is so worth it - great views of Florence and the hills of Tuscany.

This was one of my favorites. The city of Venice is incredible, the boat ride was wonderful, the guides were knowledgable and entertaining. Loved the glass-blowing demo at Murano. The Lace Shop was awesome. And walking around on Torcello was a nice way to finish the tour. Felt a little rushed on Murano and Burano - we only had 10 or 15 minutes to shop after the demonstrations. Would have liked a bit more time.
