Picked up right at the cruise terminal which was ideal for us however there was only one bus per hour on a Sunday so if you missed the pick up you had a long wait however so much cheaper than anything offered through the cruise excursions programme and excellent introduction to the city. A definate must if you have a restricted time to see the city.
Was a very long day as we were based in Malaga so were picked up at 6.40am , returning after 9pm.We're disappointed to only have a 5 minute drive around Jerez . This was not obvious from the itinerary and should be in the publicity for the tour.the sherry tasting was good although you only get a 15 minute horse show with one guy and one horse. This is at the bodega. Boat trip to Cadiz was fine although there wasn't much at the lunch stop, Puerto Santa Maria,as you are dropped there at siesta time. Cadiz is beautiful and well worth the long day. However our big disappointment was the guide. His information was limited, instructions unclear and ability to communicate effectively with his clients disappointing. (This was not down to his language skills but his attitude) .He was just going through the motions and did nothing to make us want to book with this company again. We felt we knew more about the area than he did but wanted to know so much more of the rich history of the region , hence the decision to take the trip initially. The publicity material needs to mention the possible length of day, whistle stop drive around Jerez and actual nature of the horse display.
Buses were punctual, good driver with excellent English, all the hosts at the main stops were helpful with their local knowledge of the city. You get exactly what it says on the tin.
We should have been advised that we needed to swop the voucher for tickets at the ticket office by the Elevator de Santa Justa whilst there are road works in Placa do Comercio as there are no offices for the Yellow bus company in the usual places. We wasted time having to go back to the office as the tramcar driver wouldn't accept the voucher insisting that we find the office and swop the voucher .....the bus driver on the Tagus tour however had previously accepted the voicher.
The company employee then kept us waiting whilst he rang for advice as to which ticket to issue to us despite us having Viator documentation with us.....this also took time!!!
Eventually we got underway again and thoroughly enjoyed the tours after the initial misunderstanding which should have been sorted out for us instead of us having to mess about finding offices etc.
