Best tour ever! To start the day early, with the incredible views from the main observation deck of the Empire State Building, sun just up - it doesn't get any better than that! Then a double decker bus ride to Pier 86 and the Intrepid - and river taxi to Battery Park and the 9/11 Memorial. Our guide Patrick was terrific!

Pluses: get to see Normandy D-Day museum, cemetaries, and beaches without having to drive yourself. Minuses: double-decker bus, with insufficient tour guidance - the tour seemed designed to accommodate about half of the people (not enough time for all to gather for information sessions, for stops at the beaches, for a sandwich on the way back, etc). Glad we went, but only for the historical aspects.

If you don't set up any other tours - get this card. Being able to enter many museums and other sites without having to wait in line to buy tickets was WONDERFUL.

Terrific - great way to see and gain understanding of an essential part of the city.
