London, United Kingdom
The London Eye was a wonderful and allowed you see the city of London. But the best part was the Skip the Line Ticket was worth every penny. It saved us so much time. Glad we chose to do it. I was a little scared but as slow as it moves it gives you every opportunity to see all that you want to see along with taking pictures.
This tour ended up having all kinds of surprises. We left Salzburg with rain falling. It was a chilly day and we thought we would not be able to see anything. Our trip up to the Eagles Nest was still gorgeous and full of beauty. But our biggest surprise was when when began to ascend into the mountains and realized when we reached the summit where the Eagles Nest was there was "SNOW". It was absolutely beautiful. After touring the only building, full of history, we went and walked to the top in the snow and got some wonderful pictures. There was a part of us that was sad not to be able to see the mountains, but the snow was a treat. Our guide, Walter, did a wonderful job explaining and giving us good information. We went down into the town of Berchtesgaden and had a fabulous traditional lunch. All in all it was a great trip.
Best day of our trip....Worth every moment, even though it is a long day, you are able to see so much. With the cost of a taxi or public transportation, you would never be able to get to all these places, along with a wine tasting and lunch for the price. Our tour guide Barbara was awesome. She was new but was very knowledgeable about everywhere we went. The people at the farm were hospitable and served us a delicious lunch along with several wines that hit the spot. You are able to order and have the wine shipped home which is a great gift for family and friends. The whole day we were given enough time to see the sights and to taste the wonderful gelato. I would do this tour again at the drop of a hat. I felt like I left knowing so much about the Tuscany area, the life there and each individual city that we visited. Sienna was a treat and our tour guide there made you feel like you were watching a play with her enthusiasm and love for the city in which she lived. Don't hesitate to take this tour. You will want to go back. I plan on going back to this area of Italy and taking my family.
