what a great day!! The cooking portion, menu, and eating lived up to expectations. But, unexpectedly the best part of the day was walking through the market. Our chef Ignacio was full of interesting information about many of the items we purchased.. e.g. how to know the fish you buy is fresh, lots of factoids about the black, acorn eating pigs and on and on.
Fortunately for me, the cooking school was a short walk from my hotel..Everyone there was so nice.
The only downside is that it's in a VERY out of the way side street, hard to find.. Very modern kitchen and quite well organized. Loved it!
This is a mixed review.. Figueres was fabulous. The museum was spectacular and met all of my expectations. Our bus tour guide was excellent. It was amazing how he could go back and forth from English to Spanish. Unfortunately, the tour guide we had in Girona was not so great. It was a very hot day and we were not aware that there would be so much uphill walking. The Jewish museum was a plus. Unfortunately there was not enough time to visit the film museum too. The tour bus was not the most comfortable and the trip did not end where we started from.
