Overall this trip is definitely worth doing!

Regardless if you're in the city for a weekend or a week, make the time to do this trip! Its a proper full day adventure. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and the Berber way of life will open your eyes to how good you have it at home.

You will have to share a 4x4 with some others but this was part of the fun, and we made some new friends. The driver didn't speak any English but we still manged to have a laugh with him.

Instead of giving money to the local Berber children, which will be at nearly every stop with their hands out -don't worry it's not too overbearing- bring a few sweets instead.

The only bad things I can say which are worth mentioning; I didn't think your basic needs were catered to that well. No drink is offered until at least 3 hours into the trip (even then it's a small tea), and another hour or 2 before you reach the restaurant. You aren't told to bring water but I would well recommend taking a big bottle of water per person. Especially in the 37c heat... We still ran out but it would have spoilt the trip slightly if we hadn't brought any. Also bring toilet paper, just in case. And go to the toilet before you set off as the first western toilet you encounter is a good 5 or 6 hours into the trip.

But don't get me wrong these were nothing compared to the positives.

Finally, I want to say BOOK THROUGH VIATOR as the exact same trip will cost you an extra £25 when you get there (well it was through Thompson anyway)
