San Francisco, California
Great tour and a good way to cover off these three highlights if your time in San Fran is short. The redwoods are magnificent; Sausalito is very cool (especially the poster shop at the far end of the town); and having the Alcatraz tickets pre-booked is a must. NB: If you're not a good traveller, be aware that the road into Muir Woods is very windy and you may want take some motion sickness precautions. The hour in Sausalito goes very quickly; it's a cool place with lots of good shopping, so you may want to maximise your time there by grabbing a bite to eat while you're walking, rather than sitting down for a meal.
A good tour to get a overview of Berlin. We went up the TV Tower first, as the weather was threatening to close in, but ideally I would do it after having had a look around Berlin so you'd know what you're looking at from the Tower. NB: the directions for getting the TV Tower tickets were very confusing and what we had to do ended up being different from what was on the Viator voucher. The times the Tower was open were also different. We got our ticket vouchers from the Park Hotel (close to the Tower). Then you redeem the vouchers at the souvenir shop in the Tower (don't stand in the ticket queue). And then you go upstairs and stand in the so-called VIP queue - you have to ignore the numbers that are being called, as your ticket doesn't have a number. In the end, we basically had to push into the queue of people with numbered tickets. The staff were not at all helpful. But it's well worth doing!
Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Relaxing and fun trip. Good views of Hong Kong by night. The fish market was fascinating, and the meal was enjoyable and tasty. Good value for money, especially with the bar on board the boat!
