My Review: I was not impressed. They maximise the number of people in the minibus, picking up people at all the terminals, and it took 2.5 hours to be dropped off at our hotel.

Washington DC Day Trip from New York

My Review: It is a long journey by bus (4 / 5 hours) but the visit to Washington is well worth the effort. Given the limited time in Washington it is necessary to be very efficient with time. I could not therefore understand why the trip includes a visit to Madame Tussauds. If you want to visit Madame Tussauds you can visit it in New York. However, this was the only negative factor. If you only have time for a one day visit to Washington the day trip by bus is a good option.

World Trade Center Walking Tour

My Review: Disappointing. The tour was conducted by a young actor who had very limited knowledge about the events of the day itself. I was expecting greater insight and knowledge from the guide. It was also a very big group of people (around 30) so it is not an intimate experience!

Manhattan Island Cruise

My Review: While we had a couple of other rtips and were apprehensive about doing another 3 hour cruise, it was well worth it. Not only do you see the familiar sights but it is also very interesting to see the north of Manhatten Island which is unexpectedly very green. Highly recommended. When changing your voucher for tickets, be aware the ticket office doesn't open until 9am, only one hour before the 10am cruise.

My Review: Hugely entertaining and a great spectacle. However, the music is weak and disappointing. The best show we saw was Memphis - great story, music, acting and also very funny. Our 20 year old kids were more impressed by Memphis than Spiderman.

My Review: Brilliant and absolutely fantastic. This was the highlight of our trip. Do it towards the end of the visit so that you can have an ariel view of everything that you have seen at ground level.

Niagara Falls Day Trip from New York by Air

My Review: Highly recommended despite the very early start and the long travel time. The tour company (Gray Lines) are very well organised and highly efficient. In Niagara you see the falls from every possible angle. A really great day trip from New York.

My Review: This is a great way to get around and see the entirety of the city. I would recommend this open top bus company over the Gray Lines option as Gray Lines is much busier. We used all of the options including the night and Brooklyn tours. I strongly recommend the Brooklyn tour to see a different part of the city although beware you use Gray Lines for this tour.

My Review: A great way to see the city in one day. It helps to provide orientation at the beginning of a visit to New York and places to visit again during the rest of the stay. The guide was very informative although maybe gave too much insight in to property costs! Recommended.

My Review: Our pick up at the hotel was 45 minutes late and we then spent another hour picking up other people. Thankfully our pick up had been scheduled ridicusouly early - 5 1/2 hours before the flight time. We would not use again although it is a cheap option for the airport transfer.
