This was the highlight of my trip. The helicopter ride was exciting as we flew around the glacier before landing and spent two exhilarating hours hiking. I was lucky with the weather, which was clear and sunny. I thought the trip was a good value for money.

This was a small group tour with an excellent guide whose knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip very special. I wished that I had booked the whole day tour, as I found it fascinating.

We enjoyed the excellent views of the crater lakes and Rotorua, along with the very good commentary provided by the pilot. I felt it was well worth the money as it provided a great overview of the area.

I enjoyed the experience but did find that there was more information about the construction of the bridge than really interested me and not enough about the fantastic views of Auckland and the surrounding area.
