Costa del Sol, Spain
Overall, an enjoyable day. The pickup was easy and efficient near our hotel; be prepared for a bit of a wait at the two ports; Tangier experience was great, although be prepared with a pocket full of euros: camel ride-1euro; snake charmer-1euro; photo with baby donkey-1euro (your own camera!); music played at restaurant-1euro; there is a photographer who follows the group and then charges 2euro for each photo you would like; etc. We really enjoyed the bus tour and the restaurant. We hated the constant haggling and intrusion by the locals selling, selling, selling. The Berber carpet demo was a waste of time and they make it hard for you to say no-thankyou, albeit 20 times to the same person. The spice "market" was sell, sell, sell and by the way, the herbs to lose weight did not work! There was no Berber dancing. We could not stop in the Kasbah at all for any local shopping or postcards, only the designated carpet and spice stores. It would have been nice to have had the choice!
What a waste of time and money! The "amazing" equestrian Ballet was amazingly hot and boring. There was no boat trip. El puerto was boring and the walk to the "beach" was too far to be in the good part of the beaches with cafes etc. The only good thing about the trip was the Tio Pepe tour and sherry tasting. That's what got the 1 star for this rating. Otherwise, I would not waste your money ... the Tangier, Morocco day trip was a lot cheaper and much more enjoyable, and that also included a full-course meal! There was no lunch included in this tour, which if they did, then maybe it would have been worth the price we paid for the tour!
What a way to start your holiday in Spain... It was our very first night in Spain, and it was the best way to start a holiday. The pickup and drop off was very convenient; the 'night' tour (at 8.30pm it is still sunny in Summer) was a good overall introduction to the city and we even made a stop at Plaza Espagna. We chose the full dinner package at the Flamenco Show and we are so glad that we did! The food was excellent, the service was very quick and efficient and there were only the two of us on the table and we had a full bottle of wine (not only half). The Flamenco Show was AMAZING!!!! It went for 1.5 hours non-stop and there were also a lot of costume changes. We loved it. Totally recommended! The only bad thing about this night, was that it had to end!
