My Review: Guide was useless. She showed us graves using a map and couldn't even find Moulieres grave. Walked up and down paths twice trying to find famous graves. Would have been better having the map ourselves.

Tuscan Cooking Class and Dinner in Florence

My Review: There was a lot of people for this class - around 24 with 2 instructors and 4 benches however everyone got to do a fair amount of preparation work. Prepared a 4 course meal which we was then served downstairs in a cave. Very good

My Review: Guides were very good and knowledgeable. Accademia Gallery with the statue of David was terrific. The 5 flghts of stairs at the Uffizi Gallery were a surprise - should have taken the lift. Artwork was great.

Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

My Review: Gondola ride good. There is a group of about 6 gondolas go out with about 4 passengers each. Music/seranade only goes on 1 boat so if you a looking for a more personable thing, just hire a gondola for Euro 80 for 30 minutes.
As usual the gondolo groups were running late and it was suppose to leave at 3:30pm and did not leave until 4:10pm.

Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

My Review: Don't bother with tour. Better taking ferry to Murano and Burano islands and spend a bit more time at each. Torcello only had a church and you had to walk about 800m to it to see it and then walk back. You could not understand tour guide on the ferry even though it was in English - the ferry was so noisey and she spoke on a microphone from the front of the ferry - couldn't understand or hear what she said. Murano for glass factories and Burano for lace making - islands good to see but don't bother with tour.

Skip the Line: Venice in One Day

My Review: English guide good but didn't get to skip the line to see the San Marco Church. We didn't even go inside as the queue was too long and there was no special line during Carnivale for groups. Tour only takes you from San Marco through to Rialto which you can see most of walking via the walkways.

My Review: Absolutely fantastic. Our driver, Giovani and his trainee Marco were fantastic. The small towns we visited were so different and interesting. The local restaurent we visited was great with authentic food and local wine. The winery visited with the local white sparkling wine was excellent. It was a full day but very worthwhile.

My Review: Our guide, Mr Alberto, was fabulous and so knowledgeable. We arrived when it had just snowed and he took us on our local walk via the many porticos in Bologna. The library and university were so interesting and the local restaurant for lunch were great.

My Review: Interesting tour. Certainly worthwhile and you must book ahead to make sure you can see the Da Vinci's Last Supper as it is in a separate church to most of the other art exhibitions. Would have like to spend more time at the Castello.

Skip the Line: Catacombs of Paris Small-Group Walking Tour

My Review: Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Guide was great and really knew her history. The actual cost to enter the catacombs on your own is Euro 8 or about AUD$13.00 so considering the cost of AUD $57.00 it was a pretty mean mark up with there was a group of 19 people. Consider getting a local guide direct.

Provence Wine Tasting Small Group Day Trip from Avignon

My Review: The guide was great for the morning part with the wine tasting. Then we had to sit on a bus for 2 hours whilst we dropped people off and picked more people up to see the rest of the tour. It was suppose to be a full day tour. Why couldn't they drop us off in Avignon so we could have lunch whilst they did this???? The guide had no input at all for the afternoon vists to Gordes, Les Baux de Provence (needed at least 2 hrs there not the 45 minutes given) and Pont du Gard, just dropped us off and said to wander. Very lacking afternoon part. Why couldn't the wine tasting be in the afternoon - much better to drink wine at 2pm than at 10am!!!!

My Review: Fabulous day. Visited 4 wineries on a sunny blue sky day. All were difference and had something special about them. Picnic was good with a great selection of deli items to choice from. Guidecoach driver was excellent as was her commentary.

My Review: Tour was good but would have have seen and done things in different order. Guide had a limited and very rehearsed commentary. The food shops we visited were all in a row without breaks to see something else in between. So we had so much to eat it was difficult to taste things at the last couple of shops.

My Review: Good commentary and saw sights not on the Hop on Hop Off Bus. Had time at Golden Gate Bridge to walk up to the first main upright. Also had time for a quick restaurant lunch before going to Alcatraz which was extremely interesting with a very good audio.

My Review: Just a great way to view Melbourne at night. Late dinner is best and food good. The waiter was a bit too familiar considering it was Silver Service and some of his comments not warrented. However, very enjoyable.
