Melk, of course, was wonderful and worth the drab trip to see it. We spent a lot of time on the motorway listening to the driver repeat hinself in French and Spanish as well as English, The trip on the Danube was pleasant without being remarkable and the return from Melk was totally on the motorway - not particularly enjoyable - apart from Melk itself.
